How Odisena Answers grades evidence, chooses sources, and handles your data.
Evidence scale (A–F)
Every claim is graded on the strength of the evidence behind it, not on how confidently it reads. Grades are rubric-based heuristics from a single model pass — treat them as a starting point for your own verification, not a guarantee.
- Evidence grade: A
- Strong — multiple authoritative sources agree
- Evidence grade: B
- Solid — one strong source or consistent secondary sources
- Evidence grade: C
- Moderate — mixed-quality, generally consistent
- Evidence grade: D
- Limited — single or lower-authority source
- Evidence grade: E
- Weak — tangential or partially conflicting evidence
- Evidence grade: F
- Unsupported — speculative or contradicted by evidence
Source policy
- Sources come from a configured search provider (Brave Search, Exa, or a deterministic mock fixture set when no API key is configured).
- Retrieved content is treated as untrusted data — the system prompt explicitly instructs the model to ignore any instructions embedded in source text.
- The model may only cite sources that were actually retrieved. Claims whose citations don’t resolve to a real source are dropped before you see them.
- If evidence is thin or contradictory, the system says so and lowers its confidence rather than guessing.
Aion conversations
- Chats with Aion are logged for evaluation during this early release: message text, your grades (Helpful / Off-register / Doctrine break), and timing/token statistics.
- Sessions key on the same salted hash as search — never your raw IP or user agent. Aion has no memory between conversations.
- To have a logged conversation removed, ask the operator — note the approximate date and time of the chat. Removal requests are honored.
- Please don’t share sensitive personal details in an early release — Aion will tell you the same if you ask.
Privacy
- No accounts. No sign-in required.
- Query logs (when a database is configured) key on a salted SHA-256 hash of your IP and user agent — never the raw values.
- This is a Phase 1 early release: answer pages are marked
noindex— only the home, doors, About, and Trust pages are open to search discovery.
